Quote: "I am originally from Glenview, Illinois. I worked in the U of I Study Abroad Office during my senior year and the summer afterwards, then I began substitute teaching (mostly bilingual classrooms) in the suburbs around Chicago for 1 year after graduation. I applied to teaching certification programs during that year, and moved to Austin, Texas in the summer of 2011!

I began teaching 1st grade Dual Language at Gattis Elementary in Round Rock ISD in the fall of 2011. I taught 1st grade for 6 years, then Dual Language Pre-K last year and this school year. I also have a Master's degree in Bilingual Education which I completed while working full time through an online program with Texas A & M. I am nearly finished (this summer) with my School Librarian Certification through another online program at University of North Texas."
