Global Studies and East Asian Languages and Cultures junior Kolten Conklen, from Sterling, Illinois, has been awarded a Beinecke Scholarship! This $34,000 award will contribute to his graduate research on the relationships between the urban and the rural, with a focus in contemporary Korea. Kolten is the first University of Illinois Student since 2016 to win this prestigious national award.
